Arleen A. Olguin
My relationship with Bosque Animal clinic began in 2005 as a client. I acquired employment in November 2010 as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician. In September 2014, I accepted the position of Practice Manager.
I was born in Belen, NM and pride myself as a native New Mexican. I reside in Valencia County and am passionate about educating our community in animal health care. I attended ENMU and continued at UNM studying Business Management, Marketing, and Design.
Growing up, I always cared for pets – dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, horses, you name it. Before transitioning into animal health care, I was employed for 17 years as a Purchasing Importer, one day simply deciding “I would like to work with animals.” I was fortunate to gain employment and train at a veterinary hospital in Scottsbluff, NE for 18 months. When I returned to NM, I was very fortunate to gain employment with Bosque Animal Clinic.
I am the eldest of three and the only girl. All of my family lives in Valencia County or Bernalillo County. I have been married for 27 years. My children? Seven dogs and one cat – Bella, Codi, Charley, Phoenix, Bella, Quick, Peanut, and Boogs, along with every pet that arrives at Bosque Animal Clinic!
My number one interest is to spend time with my wife and my pets! If I am not working, I am camping, boating, jet skiing, and having fun with family and friends. I am super active and love the outdoors. I have lived my life to the fullest and have a lifetime of memories.
I have been an office manager at Bosque Animal Clinic since April of 2017. I attended college at Chadron State College in Chadron, NE and Nebraska Western Junior College in Scottsbluff, NE. In 2010, I purchased a home in Los Lunas.
I’ve loved animals since I was a child. I had been in non-medical home health care and moved over to veterinary care. I observe the sick or injured pets and their progress to getting well.
In my family, there are 5 dogs named Codi, Phoenix, Jerry, Charley, and Bella and one cat named Boogs. All of my pets are rescue pets. My pets are my inspiration and rescue pets are my passion.
Customer Service Representative
I am a lifelong resident of Valencia County, I have been a receptionist with Bosque Animal Clinic since May 2017, shortly after having my first child. Working with animals is healing and rewarding. I love it!
I am a single mother. My daughter, Grace, and I are currently looking for our first pet as a family.
I pride myself on Customer Service. I believe that our clinic and group are exceptional in this area. Everyone on our team cares about our clientele and it is obvious in their service. I am proud to be part of this team!
My position within the clinic is a Veterinary Technician. I have been with Bosque Animal Clinic since 2015.
I have always grown up with animals, large and small. I decided to go to college to become a Veterinary Technician. I moved from Show Low Arizona to live with my dad in Los Lunas New Mexico to start school. I did two years at Brown Mackie College in Albuquerque, NM and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
I decided this profession because my aunt started out as a veterinary technician when I was little and I loved helping her at work and hearing all her amazing and exciting stories when she came home from work. Plus, I have been around all kinds of animals all my life. I love being with animals and working with animals so much. I want to learn more about all types of animals and educate people better on their pets and pet care. As a technician, I am the voice for the animal and I am able to help with any care needed medically.
In my family is my mom Billie, my dad Steven, my sister Kasey, my brother Caleb, my two aunts Christine and Mary Ellen, my two uncles Russ and Kenney, my best friend in the whole world from high school Gianna and of course all my cousins and other friends. My pets are: Kingstin my 10 year old Labrador Retriever, Dottie my 9 year old Chihuahua, Harley my 2 year old Pit Bull, Mia my 2 year old Min Pin Mix, Cooper my 6 year old Pomeranian Mix, Jasper my 10 month old Husky mix, Akira my 5 Month old Husky Mix, Sadie my 2 year old German Shepherd Mix, Dallas my 11 month old German Shepherd Mix, Gypsy my 1 year old Calico cat, and Sabrina my 7 year old Calico cat.
My personal interests and passions are: I love being with my family and doing fun things like hunting, fishing, camping, my 4×4 truck in the mud and mountains, going to rodeos, riding horses, caring for animals on the ranch, at home, and at work, having family gathering/holidays, art/drawing, and living life.
My achievements in life is the life I live. I am who I am today because of everything I have gone through, survived from, experienced and learned from, my family, the people who I have met, and all the advice that has been given to me.
I have been a Veterinary Technician at Bosque Animal Clinic since May 1st, 2017. I moved to Bosque Farms 1 year ago to live in a more rural community where people know their neighbors and care about each other and their pets. Plus all the wildlife and livestock!
I have been obsessed with animals since I was a little girl. I used to tell my mom I was going to be a vet all the time when I was in elementary school. My favorite thing about working with animals is the connection I feel with each and everyone. It’s amazing to me how every animal is an individual with its own personality.
I come from a huge family. I have 6 aunties and 5 uncles, over 140 cousins and they all live in California. I have a mom and a little brother and sister that live in Rio Rancho and at home I have my kiddos. Adrien is a human and he is about to be 8 in October. Adidas is my German Shepherd and then there is the Yorks: Franklin and Cutie Pie. They are 4 and 5. We also have a kitten named named Cupcake that was rescued here at the clinic and 2 hamsters, Burtle and Crackers. Sometimes even I can’t believe how spoiled they all are!
In my spare time I love to petsit and groom dogs. Before coming to work at the clinic, I was a kennel manager at a board and train facility specializing in misunderstood dogs. Caring for pets is my passion and it makes me feel so good to see pets happy, healthy, and looking good!
One day I really hope to specialize in behavior/communication. I feel blessed to serve the community I live in.
My position at Bosque Animal Clinic is as a Veterinary Technician. I started working here in July 2017. I have always had an interest in animals and love helping all animals in any way. My favorite thing is watching patients grow and also being able to watch animals walk away happy and healthy.
I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM in the South Valley and moved to Los Lunas in 2000 with my parents. In my family there is my mom, Romana, my dad, Hector Sr., and my brothers, Michael, Hector Jr., and Jonnyray. For pets, Jayah is my Bully Blue Pitbull, Bruno is my Red Pitbull, Lucy is my dad’s Bully Blue Pitbull, and Kalisi is our cat.
When I’m not working with animals at the clinic, I love to hang out with family, play with my own animals, and I also love to read! After high school, I attended and graduated from PIMA for my veterinary technician training!
My position within the clinic is Veterinary Assistant and I’ve been working at Bosque Animal Clinic since 2016.
I’ve been back in NM for about two years now and lived and graduated high school in Arizona. I decided to get back into school for a career I know I can enjoy and be passionate about.
I chose the veterinary program because every animal deserves a happy, healthy life. I enjoy assisting the doctor turning a sad, worried face to a happy one and also playing with puppies when they come into the clinic.
I have three animals that I call my kids. Artimus is my 6 year old Miniature Pincher whom I’ve had since he was 6 months old. He is from AZ and has stuck by me since day one. He enjoys sleeping and going on walks. Cheenah is my 7 year old Black Labrador who is just an enjoyment to be around. I’ve had him for about a year and he enjoys wrestling and eating wet food out of cans. Lastly, my new addition to the family is my 7 week old German Shepherd/Husky mix named Barnabas. He is a daredevil, not afraid to go bark and chase after his big brothers, jumping and climbing everywhere. He is just a fuzzball that sleeps all day and plays all night. I love all of my boys, Best Friends FOREVER!
My personal goal in life is that I have done something in this world to impact someone’s life with kindness and respect.
I have been a kennel assistant at Bosque Animal Clinic since April of 2017. I was born in Chicago, and moved around in the Midwest a lot before coming to New Mexico. My mom chose this area after Googling “Days of Sunshine Per Year.”
I am very passionate about animals and medicine. The clinic seemed like an awesome way to contribute to my community and their furry friends. My favorite part is that I learn something new every day!
I have two older sisters and one younger sister. I currently live with my mom, stepfather, and younger sister. Our pets include two horses (Bash and Dakota), three dogs (Scout, Aubri, and Rocket), and two cats (Tigger and Patches).
My personal interests include soccer, reading, and writing. I’m in National Honor Society and have won three awards in the NM English Expo. My passion is to study medicine.
